Apps that are a pleasure to use, every day.
Aashram is an independent studio in the UK. We design and build apps and games for phones, tablets and the web, and we look after them for years after launch.
Small studio. Careful work. Built to last.
An ashram is a place for learning and calm. We hold our software to the same idea: focused on what matters, free of clutter, and respectful of the people who use it.
We keep the team small, so every app gets real attention, from the first sketch to the hundredth update.
Learning
Gentle, playful apps that help young children build early skills with letters, numbers and shapes.
Games
Characterful games with depth and polish, designed to be picked up quickly and enjoyed for a long time.
Everyday tools
Useful, uncomplicated apps that solve one problem well and stay out of your way.
A much-loved learning game, rebuilt from the ground up.
Hungry, friendly creatures help children learn their letters, numbers and shapes by dragging the right answer to them. We've rebuilt the original for today's iPhones and iPads, with a parent view that shows how your child is getting on.
- Lowercase and capital letters, as children learn them at school
- No adverts, no tracking and no accounts for children
- A free starter level, with one purchase to unlock everything
The standards every Aashram app is held to.
Private by default
We collect only what an app genuinely needs, keep data on your device where we can, and never sell it.
No dark patterns
No manipulative prompts, surprise charges or endless notifications. Prices are clear and purchases are deliberate.
Made for every device
Apps that feel at home on a small phone, a large tablet and the web, with accessibility built in from the start.
Looked after for years
We keep our apps updated for new devices and operating systems long after they launch.
